About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience ..leading the Building on Faith team, 1-9 october 2011. People who gathered here on the team, no matter of what religion or none, we all have our faith - the faith in humanity and most of all, the faith in LOVE. Why I volunteer I work at the HFHI ECA (Europe and Central Asia) area office, and i know what is behind all the project - i know how people working for Habitat are committed to the cause and how the elimination of poverty housing ..which at the end is the partner families we´re talking about.. became a part of their lives. I do it for you and for me. lucia
