About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience Over 200 Women donned Pink Hard Hats, bedazzled, in Burbank for Power Women Power Tools. These Women included, my sister, her first build experience, my Mother, my best friend, her first build experience, actresses, models, Executives and housewives. Being able to witness all of these women from different ethnic and social backgrounds working together was absoulutely breath taking.

Why I volunteer Someone once said to find work that you would do for free and do just that. This is something I would do for free. Seeing the Partner family and the children and even the volunteers, enjoy what they do, makes me proud to not only be an employee, but a volunteer as well.
