About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience The mountains of Tajikistan were, quite simply, the most stunning and beautiful sight that I have ever seen in my life. The long journey to the Rasht valley was worth it. We were so far off our normal beaten path in life, and we found so many delightful, delicious, peaceful human connections. Days at the work site were memorable because there was a lot of mud - and singing!

Why I volunteer Habitat's goal of affordable, decent housing is a noble one, and I am glad to contribute anything I can to the effort.
