About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience I have led fellow parishioners from St timothy's RC. church in Norwood Ma to 3 one week volunteer periods since 2008. I have personally gained insight and have always had an enjoyable, if hard working experience. I have expanded my abilities and learned to accept what works and what does not, often from leaders much younger than I. i feel blessed to be able to help those less fortunate than i in this small way, and hope all the homes that Habitat builds will bring joy and peace to the people who live in them.
