About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience Worked with Pastors Matt and Cammy Gaston and 11 amazing college students from the University of North Texas. We had a great experience working with local craftsmen, Jose and William, starting a new home for Celia and her family. We had great weather, made wonderful friendships, explored a beautiful country, and made some lasting memories. One real highlight was meeting and traveling with our Habitat Honduras host, Johnny Cantarero. His care, attention to detail, and warm friendship touched everyone in our group.

Why I volunteer The Habitat model allows people to help people change their world for the better.
