About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience My first Global Village trip! I co-led with my then-boyfriend/now-husband and we had a fantastic experience. The homeowner family we were working with had a home that was too small for all the people who lived there--they had added an extension to the home that was nothing more than a shack. So Habitat was working with them to build a second home on their piece of land. We got to see the family every day, they actually made our lunches, and they worked right next to us on the build site. The Kuching affiliate was wonderful to work with, Angelina and Eric were so nice and helpful. All around, a fabulous experience!
