About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience I led a Global Village team to Sri-lanka in March 2011. We were altogether 14 of us on the team. It was the best team I have ever led. We were able to work on 7 houses and home partners worked alongside the team during the two weeks we spent in Sri-Lanka. It was such a beautiful trip that all of us enjoyed the expirence very well and the entire community appreciated our survices. The host program staff were the best to work with, such a dedicated and committed group to Habitat mission. Sri-Lanka is a beautiful country to visit with beautiful beaches, up country tea plantation and wild life santuaries.

Why I volunteer I am committed to Habitat- mission.
