About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience On this Global Village trip, I was able to travel to the Middle East and volunteer on a build in Jordan. We built in a small community called Al Addesiah, right next to the Jordanian border with Israel and almost within view of the Sea of Galilee. It was an incredible place to be, and an amazing group of local staff and families we worked with there. The hospitality - and food! - was overwhelming. We were just happy to be able to lend a hand - mixing concrete, laying blocks and helping build a new house for a young family.
