About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience Village life is great. The people are so welcoming. No phone, no TV, no radio, but their life is better without it. We had a group of 10 who worked along side of volunteers from the local vilage, and we build 2 homes in a week. We worship in the local church and the women of the village provided food. Its a long journey to get there from the U.S. but its worth every minute of it.

Why I volunteer Its a rewarding and hands on way to give to others the blessings we have received.
