About the Habitat Map App

In celebration of Habitat′s 500,000th and 500,001st milestone and World Habitat Day, we’ve created the Habitat Map App to encourages volunteers to tell us where they’ve built with Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to create a dynamic representation of 35 years of Habitat volunteer experiences around the globe. Add your previous experience and tell us--what was it that made your Habitat experience memorable? Then help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

About my experience I have been blessed to have met so many wonderful people and to pin point one experience is very difficult. However, one experience that stays fresh in my mind is when I had the opportunity to hand the family the keys to their home! The joy and thankfulness in their hearts was clear to see in the smiles on their faces! It was overwhelming to experience this family receiving the keys to their own home! This experience changed my life forever and my goal in life is to share the word.............

Why I volunteer This is very clear to me! As a Christian, we help whoever is in need! One family at a time we will eliminate poverty housing!
